Ross works closely with each member of his own team, but also consults regularly with Operations, Credit and Risk departments as well as our funding partner. By communicating across the organisation in this way he is able to share his valuable experience, helping to ensure that correct decisions are made for the business and the customer.

Andy has over 40 years of experience in the Lending market, starting out with an American backed Moneyshop, HFC Bank, in 1980. After that, Andy worked for Standard Chartered Bank’s Chartered Trust, before entering the Intermediary Specialist Mortgage Market with Western Trust in 1989, moving on to UCB Home Loans and then Britannia Building Society’s Verso in 1998. One of Andy’s National Accounts at Verso, Mortgage Next, recruited him to set up and build their network in 2003. When Mortgages became regulated by the FSA in October 2004, Mortgage Next was the largest new mortgage network in the UK.
Post credit crunch, Andy continued to work with the large Financial Advice firms, but in the FinTech world for Synaptic, which offered research, financial modelling and quotation tools for Pension & Investment and Mortgage & Protection advisers. He subsequently worked at SSP Worldwide before returning to the Buy-to-Let Mortgage market in 2017.

Andy believes that delivering great service is all about adding value to advisers. Answering calls, returning calls, and dealing with queries quickly are a pre-requisite. Having delivered countless presentations on specialist lending over the years, Andy believes that the role of any member of a business development team is to help advisers write more business, by sharing best practice, and making suggestions to advisers which might help them in this regard.
Andy is well known in the Network and National Account world, and has helped many advisers to understand how complex specialist Mortgages can be simple.
Andrea has over 10 years of experience in Financial Services which started at CHL. Here she held various different roles including mortgage administration, credit risk, arrears collections and, most recently, Business Development Manager, gaining a wealth of experience across the business.
Andrea has developed her extensive customer service knowledge and sales skills by working overseas in the holiday industry, achieving promotion to become a team manager where she oversaw various sized teams as part of the management. This involved looking after day-to-day resort operations and ensuring that the customer experience was second to none.

Andrea prides herself on her customer service which is diligently delivered by working closely with her intermediary customers to understand the needs of the client. Andrea uses her market knowledge and experience to find solutions to help her customers place a case.
Previously working as a buy-to-let broker, Alex understands the day-to-day stress brokers go through with their pipeline of application, Alex uses his experience to deliver top rate customer service and knowledge of the market.

Alex prides himself on his excellent customer service, he believes that an outside the box approach to a complex case is better than a simple no. Alex wants to be the first port of call for brokers for their buy-to-let cases.
Mil began his career in financial services in 2002 as an administrator with Lloyds Banking Group. He subsequently held positions in other industries, before rejoining Lloyds as a financial planning manager in 2012. He spent five years as a BDM with Birmingham Midshires, and joined CHL Mortgages from Vida Homeloans where he was a Key Account Manager (Midlands) for three years.

Mil’s approach as a BDM is to build long lasting relationships through educating brokers on products and criteria, whilst ensuring that brokers are kept up to speed on varied industry subjects. Open and honest, Mil looks to support brokers with solutions to problems and apply a simple can-do approach that cuts through complexities.
With over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, mainly in the specialist BTL sector, Paul has worked in both the broker and lender domains giving him a unique perspective to understand the needs of the intermediary and their client. As a portfolio landlord himself, he understands the needs of landlords and uses this knowledge and experience to make the intermediary’s life easier when handling a portfolio case. Paul started his career in financial services by writing mortgages for a high street estate agent. Following that, he trained to become a self-employed broker before working for CHL mortgages, Fleet Mortgages and Foundation Home Loans as a Business Development Manager.

He believes that to do this it is imperative that he is available and contactable, taking calls where possible and returning them within minutes. Paul understands this is key to adding value for his brokers
Daren has over 10 Years’ experience as a BDM/Account Manager within Financial Services, and previously worked at CHL Mortgages from 2006 to 2008 prior to the Credit Crunch. In addition he has worked as a financial advisor and has further sales experience within other sectors working for companies including Esso, Dell and QinetiQ.

Daren likes to give a Personal approach and is proactive, open and transparent with his clients, with the aim of building long term mutually beneficial relationships. Daren will keep you informed whether it’s good news, bad news or no news.
Anthony has 20 years experience in the Intermediary Mortgage Market, with a strong Buy To Let background, working in Business Development roles with both Lenders and Packagers.

Anthony’s main focus is to maintain a high standard of customer service whilst exploring ways to reach more brokers and introduce them to CHL’s excellent proposition. Anthony has a great understanding of the specialist buy-to-let market. His roles as Business Development Manager and his work within a Mortgage Packager, have equipped him with the knowledge to assist you with our criteria and lending requirements to help you with your applications.
Stuart has more than 30 years of experience working as a BDM. After leaving the Royal Air Force following a 10-year stint as an engineer, he embarked on his BDM career with Britannia Building Society in 1988, before joining Capital Home Loans for the first time in 1994. Since then, he has held BDM roles at Platform, Aldermore and Fleet Mortgages, as well as a mortgage packager position at Countrywide, before rejoining CHL Mortgages in 2024.
