If your circumstances change and you’re concerned about repaying your mortgage, please contact us as soon as possible. The earlier you speak to us, the more options may be available to help.
Step 1
Tell us about your circumstances
We’ll take the time to understand your individual situation and what’s changed.
Please be open and honest with us, as this will help us identify the most appropriate support. If you’re experiencing personal circumstances that are making it harder to manage your mortgage – such as ill health, bereavement, relationship breakdown, financial hardship or another significant life event – please let us know. We may be able to adapt the way we support and communicate with you.
Step 2
We’ll discuss the options available
Please call us on 01252 365888 and select option 4 to speak to a member of our team.
We’ll discuss your current circumstances and explain any support options that may be available.
We’ll make sure you understand:
- How each option works.
- How it may affect your mortgage balance.
- Whether additional interest or charges may apply.
- Any potential impact on your credit file.
We’ll answer any questions you have so you can make an informed decision.
Step 3
We’ll agree the best way forward
We’ll work with you to find a solution that is appropriate for your circumstances and supports a positive outcome.
Depending on your situation, this may be a short-term arrangement or a longer-term solution to help you repay any outstanding amounts and manage your mortgage.
If we can’t reach an agreement
We always aim to work with customers to resolve difficulties wherever possible. However, if we’re unable to agree a suitable solution or do not hear from you despite reasonable attempts to make contact, we may need to consider legal action.
